Hard Steel Ferro Rod Striker

It's kind of amazing to me just how well a really good striker improves the performance of most ferro rods. The 90 degree spine of a knife or the top of a folding saw blade might work a little bit better than a good dedicated ferro rod striker but those two products a a lot bigger, bulkier and heavier than one of these strikers. These strikers also have a handle that's comfortable to use and easy to get a good grip on. If you don't have one of these strikers or something that's very similar, you need to get one. They just make a ferro rod work better.
